Have you heard if they plan to retire her or let her race another year?

Maybe one day if I could adopt out some of mine and bought a healthy betta, I would give it a go. Right now, I don't have the space or time with school starting on Tuesday.

No. I've never attempted to breed before. Partially because I don't have any that came from "reputable" breeders. All of mine have come from Petco or Petsmart either due to illness or poor conditions. My King, who apparently is considered a giant since he's over 4 inches long, was kept in a teeny tiny cup that he couldn't even turn himself around in. He wasn't even 3 inches then-he's grown ;) The babies are from Petco. I bought one and after getting him home realized how much care they need. I found this forum and he survived. I wound up going back and whenever I would go in, only 2 or 3 would be left surrounded by dead ones. I have a big heart and took them home to grow where they would be warm and get the proper nutrition. They're getting bigger now & coloring up.

Did the babies come from a spawn?

I have 12 bettas. I've been keeping them for 7 years now. Two different neighbors got bettas but 1 didn't want to take care of hers so, after getting my own I ended up keeping hers after she went on vacation and left him with me. She came vack and never took him home. Then she lied to several people, saying I didn't want to give him up.

5 titles! That's awesome! From what I've heard, figure skating takes a lot of training and hard work.

Yeah, we do follow horse racing. We have friends who own racehorses. One of their better known horses is Tapits Fly, a filly who won a big race last year in California, I think. She also raced on Derby day last year but not in the Derby. lol
