Yeah I'm going a few months without touching anything and see how it works out. I have noticed it grow a good amount as now I have almost twice the Riccia I started with haha. I just haven't had any luck getting it to stick because I keep changing things around. I had a few disease problems that are just settling down so the tank will finally get to really grow in.
Jayy, I use Eco Complete which I highly recommend for any planted tank. It has a high CEC which is Cation-exchange capacity in layman terms that is the amount of nutrients a soil is capable of storing. So, it just gets better in time. I have tried others like ADA which is great of the bat but in time turns to junk, especially if you like to rearrange, it turns to mud and gets everywhere.
Tigris, I have sent you a PM
Termato, thanks! I use pressurized co2 and have a lil less than 2wpg at 6500k and tap water. My tap water is fairly hard so it gets a lot of nutrients through the water column. Without co2 it doesnt get as dense but shouldnt be so messy. Another issue is keeping it out of the current like a hang on back filter which will just shred it, it needs time to sit and float without disturbance to get dense. Hope this answers your question.
