yeah, when I was first starting out with bettas I thought I could just stick em together and they'd breed (I breed livebearers). Well that was a mistake. Thankfully they were ok though. Now I'm really excited to see the fry:) (of yours, I don't plan on breeding, at least not right now)

I'm really excited to execute it. I've been reading a TON and prepping them. They'd seen each other and acted ready to go when they were in the tank. I think I left them separated for too long, though. I should've let her out a little sooner. I had a feeling I missed my window of opportunity, but I gave it a shot anyways.

It isn't easy watching your girl get the snot beat out of her. T.T

That's my plan. Hah. Poor girl. She wasn't very happy when I put her in the middle of the tank, so I think I'll move them both back upstairs in my room and just stuff her up with worms and pellets for a couple more days.

aww that sounds so sweet (the part of him acting like he was asking if she was ok). Maybe just give her a few days and then try again:)

Well...if they act like they want to spawn, then I guess I could try again, but I'll probably separate for about 24 hours. I'd really like them to want to spawn tonight, but he's been a really big meanie to her, so idk if she'll want to at this point. She's missing some fin and she ran herself into the side of the tank while trying to get away from her, so I don't know at this point. Poor girl seemed pretty dazed. He snuck up to her and kinda looked at her like "Woah....you alright...?"

that would look really really neat, especially if one turned out to be goldfishy colored:) or you made it into a fin type. I would feel really bad for a girl if they got stuck with a mean guy:) How long are you going to seperate her for??

Annnnd this guy is ROUGH. So much so that I felt bad for my girl and took her out.

I'm hoping for VTDT honestly. I'm going for a goldfish inspired look. xD
