I read that it's "relatively easy" to spawn zebra plecos in my fish profile book. I'm like, "If it's that easy, why do they still cost a fortune?!" $400 for the lone guy they had at my LFS. I haven't seen him in a long time so I don't know if they sold him or he died. If he died, that kinda sucks for the LFS.

I got the whole deal, I think. Whatever it was, it cost $26 so it darn well better be the whole deal or $26 is a lot for a box of plastic. O.O

Yup, that's the one I got. Stuff some plastic plants in there and he should be fine. That way I won't have to change his 1 gallon every other day.

Very cool..hubby will like the idea of snails lol. Are they easy to find, Petsmart etc?

Oh amazon, why must you be so convenient? Ordered a 1gallon hang-on tank refugium/breeder box for my handicap betta to live in.

MTS! Those are a type of snail right? yeah, I've heard that the pebbles are probably better for keeping the soil aerated.

I am capping with small grain pebbles. I'm considering the bag of Earthgro top soil...

I'm seriously considering digging up a patch of my yard to see what the soil looks like lol...I'm so tired, and I haven't even started this tank yet! I did manage to make my divider, it came out great! And I have a spot picked out, a table ready...I'm just so anxious to get it up and running! I used to live in California when I was really little.
