Hey, are you interested in a few plants? The people at PlantedAquariumCentral gave me extras. I have 2 bunches of rotala indicia, 1 bunch of hygrophila corymbosa, and 2 bunches of nesaea pedicellata "golden." I don't really have another aquarium I can put them in so I think they'll die if I don't find them a home soon.

The Frogbit is growing better now! :) I was gonna ask you how do you do your water changes with the plants in the tank. I like to do 100% percent water changes every seven days where I removed everything and rinse it. I did my 50% water change a few days ago and I have a Siphon but i felt like I lost tons of the duckweed cause it got stuck to the siphon... Should I just transfer the plants to another tank while I do the water change? Thanks and Happy Birthday :)

Yeah, your birthday is coming up pretty fast. 16, awesome. The HO light would be really great.

I haven't tried dwarf sag but maybe I should. I used pygmy chain sword and it seems to want more iron than I can provide. I had to cut it back so each bunch is in little stubs.

As long as the water was dechlorinated and you got the filter running within 6 hours or had some form of ammonia in there, you should still have quite a bit of bacteria on it. Are the girls doing okay?

OFL said lots of stem plants aerate the sand but I don't know exactly how. I do have kuhli loaches and they spend the day under the sand like little snakes so I guess they're keeping it aerated somehow.

I just couldn't do dirt. It clogged up my filter and my tank was always cloudy. I like gravel but I had trouble getting the stem plants to stay anchored. So I guess it's sand.

I hate the Sacramento Kings owners. >.<

Steal a few adult MTS from your sister. In a month, you'll have more than enough. Sigh, that's one of the reasons why I don't like sand. And yet, I like sand better than gravel.

You've done a pretty good job, though. Ludwigia can be really touchy and yours is still alive. That's really great.

My Petsmart stopped selling plants. Now my choices are the LFS, Petco's half-dead selection, or online.

The sand probably got anaerobic pockets of gas too, because it was so deep. Did you manage to salvage some MTS?

Haha, flaring all the time. He does kinda sound like a little God of War, doesn't he? And I'm glad you got the sorority fixed up. When the tank is a pain to deal with, it's time for a change. And sometimes you just have to experiment with things to find the right substrate combo. I've redone the 20g probably 3 times.

That's great, he sounds healthy and very happy! He's a really handsome guy. I like his curious little face.
