I guess if you made the stand big enough to put a 10gal or so on top and then a shelf a little lower for the 5.5gal. I just learned from experience not to make the bottom shelf so low that it's only a few inches off the ground. The gravel vac won't work if you are trying to empty into a bucket or anything higher. The 29gal is on a shelf below the 55gal and I have to open the garage door and drain it down the driveway.

Haha, you'd HAVE to build a stand for a 5.5gal. As far as I know, nobody makes them for tanks that small. I bet it will look very nice, too. :)

Cheaper to put together your own system too. I remember waay back in the late '90's when the only way to build your own system was to get the pieces at a computer show. Now those computer shows are obsolete and you can get everything at Best Buy or Fry's. Ugh. My first laptop was a brick that had less memory/hard drive than a not-so-smart phone and it cost me $799 used at a computer show. Died within 6 months.

Sorry about your c02. But I'm sure you'll get it worked out. You seem really good at DIY.

And honestly, I'm so happy the rummynoses and endler are happy with you. It makes me feel so much better than if I had sold them to a pet store and not known where they were going.

Are you thinking of a good Alienware-type gamer computer? I configured one on their website once long ago just for fun and I think I could have bought a good used car for the price of the system.

All I have is DS. Don't get that much for DS games. :( Amazon is bad for me. I'm like "That's such a good deal! I might not need it now but I should get it for later!" *shakes head*

Ah, there's the catch: limit the spending. -___- In my case, the only time I successfully limited my spending was when I overdrafted my checking account renewing the warranty on my computer. That put a stop to amazon purchases for a few days.

I love that the Finnex has the moonlight option and they're really reasonably priced. I might get one someday for the 20gal because the one I have now doesn't have a moonlight option, which sucks with so many nocturnal fish in there.

Hurray! Glad everything is almost up and running. You've been waiting a long time for this. :)

Is it just the bettas in there? You could try c02 on at night and just watch the girls for signs of distress. Although, the plants don't utilize anything at night so I don't know if it would be worth it to run the c02 in the dark. They do most of their photosynthesizing etc during the day.

As far as I know there's no fee. I think she's just willing to find fish for people. She's nice that way. We got off to a rocky start at first when we disagreed about heaters and bettas but now we get along quite well.
