Oh yes! It's extremely adaptable, but you have alkaline water right? They'd love that.

Would it be fine in 76 degree water with bettas?

Sakura may be giving me her rummynose though as she is tearing down a tank, maybe, so I think shrimp might be a better option. I have also heard cherry shrimp will eat hair algae.

Hah, still haven't gotten those amanos yet?
You know if you want something to eat hair algae, American flag fish is a popular choice.. however some people don't think it's pretty (I think it's a good looking fish). Something a little more out there, and sort of blue ish if you don't find those blue platies. ;)

Thats the hard part I like them all! I will see if any of the petstores around me have any blue platies as those are super nice looking. I saw Petco had female cherry barbs so I may get them and a few males.

I neeed to check if my LFS has any amano shrimp, I dont want to order them online as shipping and almost retail value suck for the wallet. I am gonna see about getting my light hung and put higher so the tank wont be getting huge amounts of light causing alage.

Hey man, I can't tell you which fish you like more! :p
The platies will probably eat the algae, but don't count on it and not a lot of it either.
    I do like rummies however!

I don't know which on I want is the problem. The plagues I wouldn't mind them giving birth, as the other fish should eat them, which will be good food. Do any of those eat or nibble on hair algae as well?

I could also do a bigger school of neon tetras or rummynoses.

Oh my gosh so sorry I forgot to reply!
    You have 4 girls, yes?
I'd probably do 5-6 platy ladies, likewise 5-6 cherry barbs. I like the barbs more myself, but with the platies you could get a few different colours in there. Just remember that all the girls will probably be pregnant when you get them and could be giving birth for a few months, so you'd have to try and keep that under control!

Hey how many female platies do you think will be fine in my 15 gallon? I want some more fish to look at, I'm not sure if I want cherry barbs or platies though, input?
