What other fish eat hair algae that I couod find that is tropical?
Yeah, the hair algae was from the siesta! I have now switched back to straight on, but is only on for 8 hours, I need to get Flourish though. Byron, from YGM, said i need more nutrients in the tank. Luckily I have Amazon Prime and a 500 mL bottle is only like $13 no tax, two day shipping. He ask had something to say about Excel...
Have you been doing hydrogen proxide treatments? I heard you jave to keep doing it or it won't go away.
Sadly, I'll take hair algae over black brush algae any day. At least there are fish who will eat hair algae (American Flagfish). As far as I've found, nothing eats BBA. And I still have snails. Guess I returned the clown loaches too soon. ARGH.
Yeah I know... I woke up to a tank littered with hair algae. I switched to the siesta method recently so I think that is the cause of the outbreak, but I had it before. I am gonna go over to the sister site and ask them since they have more expirence with planted tanks since most people on here find them difficult.
Yeah, I would rather pay go something I would put to practice, rather then just science. I like the one I got den you, plus there are deals for other equipment. Your magazine had a deal that was still valid for CO2 regulator.
Hopefully I can just get the actual tank and approval lol. I hope that I can get it, if not oh well. It will be another dream I have.
I want to get a bike for transportation since I need money to get insurance and I would need cash before so I could drive to work sometimes. The only problem is that the bike costs $700 and I'm not sure if there is tax or not.
I think AFI can be bought online yeah. I'll also keep an eye out in the magazine itself for any subscription deals. I like both TFH and AFI but AFI tends to have a little more practical advice, whereas TFH has more informative scientific articles. Plus, it's a lot more expensive.
Hey, that's really great your dad will help you build a stand! I know when my dad built the stand for my 55gal, I probably saved over $200.
AFI can be bought online as well right? I will look at it when I get home if I can. Hopefully I can find it as I would like to see a hole bunch of things on keeping plants, fish, shrimp, etc.
So I was talking with my dad and he said he would help me build a stand! Oh and so it doesn't take forever when I get the shrimp to cycle the tank, I am gonna ask my sister for some media to seed it. That way I should only have to wait at most a week for bacteria to fill nicely. I hope that the soils are easy on the pocket, if not I will get Ecocomplete, I would rather be fancy with the soils though lol.
Okay, now that's just plain weird. When I followed my own link back to the page, it took me to TFH instead. All of a sudden, Amazon apparently no longer carries AFI. o.O I'll keep checking back. It could be some weird marketing thing they're trying to do, since TFH costs twice as much to subscribe to as AFI.
