I know really, especially since hair algae just sticks to the plants, I wonder if an algaecide would hurt anything but fish? I would be tempted to do it but I am afraid it will kill everything in the dirt. I am really interested in CO2 now because it should kill the algae as the plants will grow way more.

Algae makes me wanna rip my hair out. I'm thinking of pulling the fish out of my 20 and bombing it with Algae-Fix. Hopefully that will kill the snails too.

Yeah, some posts on google said they can but I dunno. If they do, I guess they do. If not, I won't be disappointed, that's for sure.

So I was reading on TFK and they said on there that they can't breed, I don't know, if they do freeish food, if not doesn't matter.

So I am ditching shrimp for now, as I have algae problems, so I am just going to worry about the tanks I have, maybe get CO2 for the 15 truning it high tech, hopefully the algae will go away as it is suffocating the floating plants and causing some death or slow growth. Hopefully they recover.

The guppy/swordtail fry will probably end up being Sparky food.

Oh okay, a guppy swordtail would look so weird lol, make sure you keep track of those though, you don't want to sell them as something else...

My mom needs to decide if I can have shrimp or not already! I found someone selling cherries cheap and Taiwan Fire shrimp for $1.50 each, I may cross them to get more red in the cherries. Plus I need the tank to be setup and all that.

Err, not really, no. They're sort of plain. The guppies that you buy in pet stores all tend to be poor in the genetic area. If you want nice guppies, you have to get them off aquabid or from local breeders. I'll definitely have some koi swordtails because I don't have a male guppy. It's just a matter of who drops first, the guppy females or the swordtail females. I won't be able to tell if they are swordtails or hybrids for the first few weeks.

Are they nice looking guppies? I think it is your call though, generally I find guppies a pest, but I don't care too much for livebearers besides some, I think the turn off for me with guppies is terrible genetics.

Yeah, it is a nice small house with a crazy view. I wish there were more jobs out there as there isn't much that will be paying good money.

No kidding! My estimate was waaaay off. o.O Yeah, I've been to Murphys (my grandmother got married there) so I have a mental pic of the area.

I'm trying to figure out what to do with the guppies. I don't know if I should keep them or *gulp* sacrifice them to Sparky.

Wow Sakura your guess is way too high, the house is more in the wilderness but it is about like 10 minutes from Murphys. The house is only 649,500! That's like a house in the bay area that is small and has no land. The area out here is usually cheaper.

Wow, that would look strange or awesome. Just make sure you get those "koi" to breed and have ones that you could sell since I haven't seen any. Swordtails, most are hybrids with platies already, might be a bit small if it spawned with a guppy, I would just be worried about problems with the fish.

It had to be like 15 mil or more. Wow. I have no idea what I'd do with a house like that. Oh wait. Yeah, I do. I'd fill it with fish.

So I just found out guppies and swordtails can hybridize so I may have some interesting looking guppy-swordtails too. o.O Wow.
