I should ask my dad (retired from PG & E) how much energy a tank actually uses. Say a 9volt filter, 25-50w for the heater, 10-48w for a light . . . hmm.

Overboard would be what I am now. o.O

What kind of air pump is it? I have a pretty large Tetra that is reasonably quiet running two sponge filters in a 29gal and a 55gal. The large Marina air pump drove me insane. One air pump that I had running in the bathroom was so loud I stuffed it into the cupboard under the sink behind all the rolls of toilet paper.

Haha, yeah, he was our mailman for practically my whole life as far as I can recall. I liked him, he delivered the mail pretty early. The new guy delivers it so late I forget to go out and get it.

Yeah that is what I was trying to say but I don't know all the breeding terms... Lol. I wish my mom would accept my deal for paying for part of the electricity bill so I can have more tanks, I think she is afraid I may go over board lol, I have a total of 4 tanks right now, two not running, and i will be "upgrading" Mars to a 5.5, I wouldn't say it is an upgrade for him, but more for me as i can actually clean the dang tank without scratching it!

I think I might order my diffuser before and just use my money for it so i can start the DIY CO2, I need a timer for the air pump, my sister that lives with her boyfriend ordered it and decided she didn't like the ornament with bubbles. It is rated for 40 gallons, so hopefully it doesn't make too much racket, or I am throwing a towel on it lol.

I hope the guy doesn't hurt himself lol.

My guess is the tricolor swords started out as hybrids, as I've seen "painted platies" before. I'm planning on linebreeding, using a method I read in a book by maintaining two lines and then crossing over every few generations. Is that what you were talking about? I just put crushed coral into the 20gal to raise the hardness and I'll move the swordtails there for now. I have no idea which female dropped. Actually, neither of them looked pregnant so it was a surprise to see fry. So surprised I think I accidentally washed a baby down the gutter because I found them during water changes. :(

Hey, way to make some money! Haha, if my mailman can deliver a 37gal tank kit from fostersmith without herniating a disc, yours should make it with the stratum. :D

On the other hand, my mailman did retire not too long after that delivery . . .

    continued...
Wow, I am selling 4 of my games I never play on Amazon so I can buy my NPK doses, the stratum, the Azoo filter, and a CO2 diffuser. From buying all those, which they all get two day shipping (Muwhaha) and I only went like $23 over from what I should get from the games. Sucks for the guy carrying all that stuff, the stratum weighs 16.7 pounds alone lol, plus 3 250mL bottles of ferts.

Yeah, it can get annoying lol.

I have never seen one either, maybe it just hasn't been tried to be done or something. I wanna see some now!

I think i know what I wanna put in the 16 gallon now! It would be cool because nobody really has them. You should find another breeder with them to introduce new blood or else they will turn into petstore guppies and have crappy genetics. You could just keep breeding the original mothers or F1 generation back to the orginal males unless you can get new blood. You would need to have a log system or something to keep track if you do make it a line. I wonder if they would breed true or not to a regular sword/platy (Since you can breed the two). I want some F1s oe F2s whenever I can get the tank setup.

I bet being surrounded by a lot of hormonal women and a baby can get really tiresome after a while. You'll be pretty happy when you get a license and can drive. :)

I noticed in my pet stores, you can never find pure red guppies. They're always half black or yellow and maybe have some cobra patterning in their tails. I'd love red guppies someday.

I got my first batch of swordtail fry! I'm not sure if it was a small litter or the congo tetras ate some so I only have 4 or 5 but they are super super gorgeous. I wish my camera wasn't broken so I could take a pic. They look just like miniatures of the adults.

I feel cramped at my house so I am always in my "room", the tv in the living room is watched by my sister that had the baby like all day and she lays on the couch so there is never seating, and they are always asking why am I always in my room...

I think the endler, I should give him a name since I can distinguish him, is getting a tad more comfortable as he sometimes comes to the front. Though he is still scared of my hand so he doesn't eat very much. I even tried blowing a couple of pellets near him. He is at the front at the moment as well lol.

Guppies always need to come from a good breeder, or else they will be super fragile, which they should be harder, but stupid people let them breed with the same bloodline that is already crappy and make it crappier, then sell them back to the petstore... Some of their tails are so long though!

Wow T2 lights are awesome! You can link them together and you just have a holder to hold the light, they don't need a fixture!

I guess I'm lucky my brother left home for college and that was that. He's lived on his own now since 1997, on the east coast. In a way, I feel like an only child.

He sure was a pesky little endler in my tank. Never left my regular guppy alone, stuck to him like glue. The thing is, I never saw nipped fins on the guppy and he has a pretty black tail. Have you seen some of the aquabid guppies? Wow.

Sure isn't nice of her... Plus she has clothes all of the place.

Yeah, I don't know, they didn't feed at the surface the first time I tried, but after feeding them 3 small times they know I mean food lol. Hope the endler is fine without a buddy for a bit, I am trying to find a place that sells the black bar females. At night he seems to come out a bit more but is timid, I suspect from lack of company.

I have such a weird effect on fish. They don't grow, they don't spawn, and they don't surface feed. o.O You'd think I kept them in tiny tanks that were never changed, with behavior like that. I feel like, between the snails and the fish, I must be doing something wrong. Not sure if I'm going to keep the 20gal running or just tear it down.

That's a bummer about your sister. :( As someone only 2 years older than her, I can say that's no way to treat a hard-working parent who is trying to help.
