i have a totally random question, kk i notice how i'm still labeled as "new member" while some people who like just signed up as "junior members" lool I was just wondering how this works. Is it by like thread posts or something?
I know a lot of people have the little Spongebob pineapple decorations. If you are worried about sharp edges, you can just sand them down like you suggested. Otherwise, everyone I know of seems happy with them.
A bacteria bloom happens in tanks that have just been set up and are going through the cycling process OR if you seriously overfeed your tank, which shouldn't happen with just one betta. It's literally a cloud of microscopic bacteria. The best way to get rid of it is to do a water change and cut back on feedings and turn the tank light off for a day or two.
In your opinion, do u think this is safe for a lil betta?
I had read the reviews in which the edges might be sharp but that can be fixed with some sandpaper/nail filer, then rinsing. But do u see any other potential hazards? (like paint coming off or something, so far the reviews ive read havent had any complaints about the paint though)
(if pic doesnt show can u please google "spongebob pineappe house aquarium". Sorry for the inconvenience. The website wont let me send the link)
Loool woops xP no wonder I only read it once from all my googling xP haah. But its still being all stubborn. I havent put it in really really hot water yet ( just as hot as tap water goes for five mins) and its still only barely coming off when i scrape my nails on the "axidental" splotches of paint.
Ooh can u also explain bacteria bloom to me? Like what happens, causes of it, how to get rid of and such. ( I read about it and now I'm feeling all paranoid and feeling like I HAVE TO understand it or something haahha xP)
I was just wondering what you think is the best way to clean newly brought gravel. It's Marina branded and it has a natural lookin shade of white, yellow and brown rocks. But I noticed some rocks have like paint on them by "axident" like little splotches and after a bit of hot water i could scrape it off with nails. I read somewhere about boiling it and was wondering how that works and what else I can do to ensure the gravel is cleaned well and is safe.
I found Prime today!!! :D haha I got sooo excited at the store xP andddddd it was 40% off along with Stress Coat!!! I calculated weekly uses for my 5 gallon and PRIME WILL LAST FOR NINE YEARS!!!($8.73) and over two years worth of Stress Coat for $6.71. It's a happeh happeh day.
(ps:there's no expiry date on the Prime though, but it is tightly sealed, that should be ok right? The Stress Coat expires in 2015 so I dont think this stuff is old stock)
