Thank you for the response :) Sorry about fish with dropsy :( I guess it just cycle of life. We love our cute bettas but they get sick just like a human being. We give them love and life though which is more than they would get in the store. Thank you:)

So sorry to get back to you so late! I've been offline for quite some time now.
Which post about the bloated fish? If you mean the big blue one, yes, he survived that. My advice is Epsom salts- its quite the cure-all!
If you mean the post about the fish with Dropsy, then no. Sadly, there is no real cure for him, as he was too far gone. But, he did live another few months in my care. Unfortunately, one of my old fish has dropsy as well. His days are numbered too.
My advice about dropsy... well, if you catch it early enough, I recommend Maracyn plus or some other strong antibiotic to help treat the underlying cause. I'd also double the antibiotic with Epsom salt- simply because it helps with the swelling of the belly. If its too far gone, just use the Epsom salt and keep the tank warm. (S)He should be nice and comfy for his/her passing.
Hope that helped a little and I hope I'm not too late if you're having any fish issues! :(
