    :( I don't want bad news.

Luckily, it doesn't seem to spreading. It's only on his tail, and the dots are very small and, so far, few in number. The temperature was about 48F at 7:15 this morning (about half an hour after sunrise).

I didn't have as much salt as I thought, but I added what I had (about 20 tsps). I premixed it in 2.5 gallons warm water with Melafix (seemed to help last time) and Seachem Safe, and added it using a ladle over about 25 minutes so that I didn't change the temperature too much. It was also raining at the same time, so there was an influx of cold water. I'll have to see if I can get some more salt, but I'm so broke at the moment due to vet bills! Le sigh. It never rains but it pours, as they say.

For their sake, I can't wait til summer. :p Not too keen on it personally (heat + graduation, blegh), but it will be nice to see them actually enjoying being in the pond. Right now I'm feeling massively guilty for putting him in.

    Bothering you again!

It looks like our big comet has got ich - white dots on his tail - how would one go about treating that in a wintery pond? :s I have AQ salt, but no way of raising the temperature.

Hope you are your fish are well. :)

So, the temperature here is now regularly below 60F - do we feed the pond fish at all for the next six months or so? Can we drop in a pellet once a week or so?

I'm back, and I come bearing ponds! Well, stories of ponds. It is in the ground, the filter is fully functional (although the pump that powers the filter is not) and two little shubunkins are now calling it home! I've made a thread on it. :)
