I just got back from one of my LFS. They had the sidthimunki loaches! $10.99 a pop. All I have is a 3 gallon and the lady said they get too persnickety for that. :( Dang.

*hugs* You can be the favorite aunt to my dojos. :) Blotch is hyper. He was swimming everywhere while I did the water change.

She also accidentally put a lyre-tailed guppy in the bag too.

I totally agree, a tank of noisy fish would be so much fun. :D

I'll try to get a pic, if they'll let me. They work mainly at night and my camera's pretty lousy at dim lighting pics. Now if only clowns ate black brush algae too, they'd be the perfect fish.

Nooo, don't tell me your first dojo had a blotch. Now I'm going to go back tomorrow and get him. He was half off too. :D

I know there are "talking" catfish that make grinding noises by rotating their pectorals. And there are the croaking gouramis that make lots of noises when they're breeding. There's a kind of knifefish that makes chirps when it's in the presence of other knifefish. :D Fish aren't as quiet as we think.

*watching clowns swim by* I love these guys! They're like cory cats but cuter!

My tank IS heavily planted and I still hardly ever see my kuhlis. I see them in the morning when I turn the light on and they got berserk, richochetting off the walls.

Almost bought a 3rd dojo. It was so cute, it had a huge brown blotch on its head. But no, I was good. :D

I'm waiting to see if my clowns make clicking sounds

Haha, I don't think Sparky will let me turn my 55gal into a community any time soon. I love clowns the best though. And my dojos. I try to love my kuhlis but I hardly ever see them. I want sidthimunki loaches but they're so expensive!

:D They are! I woke up today and all of the little white dots that were baby snails on the glass are gone. Yay! A few more weeks to make sure the population is under control and then I have to part with them. :( I'm glad my LFS will take them back but I still wish I could keep them. Why do they have to get so big?!?

I just got two baby clown loaches for snail duty in my 20gal. They're so adorable swimming around! I wish I could keep them but when they are done eating all the nasty baby snails that I can't get rid of OR if they don't eat any snails at all, I have to return them. I don't have a tank big enough for them when they grow up. Awww, I can see why you love loaches so much. :D

Thanks! I'll check out the classifieds. The hood fits, it just lays oddly, it's just the lip thing that hangs on the side of the tank that gets in the way.
