Not really moving at all. I saw a nice PK at PetCo, but didn't get him due to lack of funds, and tanks. I had 2 buy some hamster supplies, so no $$$ for me. :( Plus I'm reading this great book series and I want all the books for myself, so I'm saving for the 4 book, hardbacked, boxed set, with costs over $50. :( But I think it will be worth it. :)

Not any more. When they started claiming that anything you put up on their site was thereafter their property regardless of whether you took it down or not, it kinda wigged me out. =(

I do miss it though--hard to keep track of old friends and such without it now.

That happens to me all the time! I see a great fish, but then I say well I don't REALLY need another betta, but then I end smacking myself in the head for it. But next time I WILL get that special little betta when I see them, so that I can say "I did something right today!" Which is why it helps to always carry money (for emergency fish purchases) and always have spare tanks (for when I bring my emergency fish purchase home). LOL. I look forward to seeing more of that PetsMart gem Palette.

There's been two so far that I've been kicking myself for passing on, and both were crowntails: one was a black-headed pyrite with violet ventral fins, and the other was a super-vivid violet with banana-yellow fins. And both of them I passed on for just absurd reasons looking back on them. Been kicking myself ever since!

Whitey and two others were actually bought at a different Petsmart further away. I'd been scouring the local pet stores for the best selection and just had to have him when I saw him. As much as of a pain as it is, definitely check all the stores in your area and, most importantly, the days they get new shipments in. I thought the Petco by my girlfriend's house had a rather boring selection until I went in on one of their stocking days and realized why only their most standard ones were left! They had white with green and red marble half-moons, vivid orange crowntails, just some really nice ones--only reason I didn't get one was I had bought two or three the day before, including tanks and gravel. Otherwise, they'd have been snatched up in a second! But my new place to find them is a little hole-in-the-wall local store that just has a mind-blowing selection.

I can't wait to see them! I would be more than happy to take some more updated pics of Palette! And thank you for the complements on the tank! It's a bit smaller and doesn't have the room to scape it the way I'd like, but money (as always) prohibits that at the moment. It's changed a little bit since that picture was taken, as he now has black gravel and a single strand of anacharis behind the bamboo. Initially it was because I bought too much for Jerk and Whitey and figured that since anacharis works so well as an ammonia sponge, I might as well throw it in, but it actually contrasts quite well.
