I can understand that. Kinda like not counting your chickens before they hatch.

    Wow! That soon! That's awesome!

I'm not posting photos till it's done, sadly. Just a personal choice. Hopefully by the end of the week I'll have some congo tetra in there, who knows.

Holy crap! It's like someone combined a gulper eel and a puffer fish! Fish never cease to amaze me!

Oh can we see pictures? Have you started a thread for the tank yet? I'm sure more than few people would be interested to copy *ahem* I mean follow your tank. :P (Still heavily considering a bichir tank when I have the room.)

A gulper catfish could probably manage- look em up. Sooo cool, but they are no tank mate fish, gah. I think they can eat fish three times their size- they grab the fish by the mouth, and let the fish do the rest of the work, swimming forward, right into the gulper's mouth.
Gotta figure out my rock formation today. :)

lol! If we're going down this route you could claim that somebody introduced angels to the congo, too!

I don't think anything shy of a gulper eel could swallow a pearlscale! XD Those guys can get as big as a softball!

OH. Well, then it'd be SUPER accurate if I put in an introduced species!
Probably won't happen. But if I got, like pearl scales I wouldn't have to worry about them being swallowed. xD

Haha! It would be a strange community. Goldfish are technically in African (naturalized not native). Bichir bumping noses with chubby goldfish. What a sight!! Also I would love to have a bronze or chocolate goldfish, but I've never seen one for sale.

Lol, don't tempt me. My LFS sells little brown goldfish (think they're called bronze?) 2 goldfish and I'd need a second canister! Plus... weirdest African community ever. Can you imagine how out of place they'd look? Just, being all big and.. goldfishy... It'd be hilarious, people would just think they were like, feeders that survived.

All the goldfish threads recently got you wanting one, too? Well temp and water param wise, a little chocolate oranda would work, but I don't think the leopard ctenopoma would be very kind to him. Goldfish can be monsters, too!
