thats odd bc of two things.

1) i was at AA and didnt see them? and never have seen them

2) i have never seen them at jacks either and they were there at the same time

must be a freak coincidence.

so i went to jacks today, is that were you got your pikes? i felt bad for those other cichlids in there! every time the non pikes came out of the corner the 4 pikes would attack them!

i actually got some really nice rainbows from petsmart today for pretty cheap. finished my stocking with 8 neons and 4 more rainbows.

and did i read you were moving across the country? who will i talk fish with haha.

i was at aquarium adventure at about 10:10 and it was so busy haha guess we were not the only ones who heard about it :P

i got some great driftwood for less than 50$ at 50% off its actually not bad of a deal since you can acutally see what your getting vs ebay

so maybe you can answer this, how many plants do i need for a 55g? i havent really mae up my mind what im getting yet, but it will be pretty typical, swords and stems in back small stuff up front, etc i want it not SUPER dense but pretty heavily planted when things start growing.

no way! hmm that might mess with my plans :( i doubt i can cycle my tank in 5 days :( lol

I'd also recommend letting it completely dry out. Some wood will rot in your tank, so you'll have to check it every now and then. Hopefully someone with more experience will chime in.

You could use corner protectors instead. Those come in black and clear. I siliconed the screen directly to the corner protector (I used clear) and it's worked out great.
