I don't like crowds but I do like fireworks. :) And hey, c'mon, it's shopping. :D We can always make an extra day for that, can't we?

I imagine some of those New Year's celebrations in the big cities can get absolutely crazy. Big crowds are not for me. :P I think I saw the Bangkok one on CNN and it was just a sea of people.

I finally got hold of the levamisole, thanks to the links you posted. *hugs* It worked like a charm on Riceball but unfortunately, Crichton must have had an underlying problem because he never did pass any worms. I think he had some kind of blockage. He ended up getting terrible fin rot and dropsy and passed away after a long, long battle. The levamisole came in handy again a few days ago because my platy got a case of those worms too. Thanks again for all your help, you were so wonderful. :)

I had a nice quiet celebration laughing at my dad, who gave up and went to bed at 11:30 PM. How about you?

I dont think he would ever move to NYC. I have tried a few times to get him to move to Long Island because my grandmother's house has been empty since she died last Feb. It has a nice yard and is in a good neighborhood (unlike where I live now) but he does not seem interested.

Nope, I am a native of New York City. I came to alaska in 2000 as part of a college exchange program. I don't do so well in winter here. Too dark and too cold and I get depressed. They sell lights that help replicate natural sunlight but they dont seem to work for me. I hope to leave alaska this year...just waiting for the boyfriend to get his PHD...

We did have 24 hours of daylight but this time of year each day has about 6 minutes less of daylight then the day before. In december the sun rises at 11 AM and sets at 2 PM, It can get as cold as -65F in winter

It wont let me post a website link, I'll see if I can send it by a private message

I don't get home from work till about 1 AM and I am usually up till 6 AM Alaska time. Most of the people I chat with in forums are not located in North America unless they are up really early in the morning!

I hope Lucky gets better. He was the first "sick" fish I helped.
He has his own youtube music video too

lol that's cool! Extra bonus....one gets to know others in the group too :D
I definitely learn a lot from you and a few others, and so excited to be in a forum where we all share a common interest. Hehe...I am into visual stuff, so it is fascinating to know why my guys have the color they have and why colors can change overtime, and it's all thanks to a little push from you lol

    Cheers!

Haha, yup, people can see the convo. You're welcome. You've been awesome, researching all these things and being a great encouragement with my rescue. :)
