Thank you very much for the welcome & your kind words! I'm so sorry it took me so long to answer!

I was lucky & found them at a local fish store. I have seen them on but then of course you have to deal with shipping.

I was one of those people who thought you just got fish, put them in the water, fed them, and topped it off every once in a while. But my then-2 year old wanted a "pretty fishy" like her best friend had, and I thought what a great Christmas present. Put 5 glofish in a 5 gallon tank. Had 1 die the second day and thought I should probably get a clue about the whole thing. And so it began lol.

I minored in biochemistry, so I think that helped set me up for success with understanding the nitrogen cycle, different chemicals and their uses, etc. It has been a fun road so far :)

It helps that I've become known as "that fish lady" among friends/family/facebook, so I have now helped multiple people set up and stock their own aquariums. You learn a lot when little fishy lives are at stake - especially when it's other people's pets and they are depending on your self-claimed expertise.

I don't actually get on TFK very often, though I do frequent a couple of other forums. I should probably check it out because my other forums aren't very active, and I end up posting a lot of non-betta related questions and comments in the "other fish" section of bettafish.

I don't do anything halfway lol. I got my first tank (for my daughter who wanted a fish) last Christmas. That was a learning experience. Research, research, research.

Yep, got him at a Petco right outside of Philadelphia back in May. Petco has had an incredible selection of Kings in the Philly area recently, I wish I could take them all home.

Talking to myself, maybe? I look at them as Easter eggs for my buddies. Just my meandering thoughts that really aren't worth starting new threads over and cluttering up the forum.

It's usually against my carny nature to to break "kayfabe" but rest easy Hal, my legal issues involving my parents are a "work" as they would say on the midway.

Ahhh, yeah... I realized that after I visited Mike's page and saw how his conversations were laid out. >.< Thanks for the heads up! (And belated thanks on the welcome.)

She was lovely, but she was a HM female (Aquastar). She passed, but I got a sister of her who was a close match (really only being a bit redder) who bred and have their offspring for sale, but they are Canada only.
