I will look into that live plant idea. do you know any easy plants out there? I really don't have a green thumb either. outside plants are fine for me, but when I deal with indoor plants.. I suck at them. LOL

    you're welcome. =)

thanks so much! I saw him at the pet store and I just had to get him. can I get IAL at the pet stores? I have a fish store down town and I'm sure she might have some. what would be the best way to keep ammonia at bay?

Well the way I see it, a bottle of aquasafe costs as much as a school of replacement tetras....and who knows how long it would take to cycle then...you gotta pick your battles I guess...

Oh man, I don't believe I've heard a future-tense issue yet...wow...that does just make my head want to spin around. ;) And I totally agree, the endless now is massively annoying. Sometimes I wonder if it's a grammar problem, or an aspect of the ridiculous nihilistic self-centeredness that seems to have taken over...Part of the "everyone gets a trophy!" and "even though you FAILED, it's okay, you did a great job!" mentality. NO NO NO NO! I'm all for self-esteem, but if you just pat children on the head for being alive, then when they actually DO accomplish something, it means NOTHING! Adults have just completely robbed any sort of accomplishment from any meaning by the constant showering of praise and adulation that becomes background noise. Or, all those years of psychology classes have just warped my brain. ;)

Thank you! Oh I am pretty new when it comes to bettas, but I do my best do educate also people who still have a 'wrong' image about keeping fish. I still learn a lot and when I was getting ready for my betta I learnt so much new! :)

I might just get some safestart....I don't want those tetras to suffer too much longer....I'm surprised they have been thriving this long.

Most assuredly you can, and I'd be honored. ;)

And for this alone I think I love you: "gerundization". (From the adult who was the kid who used to get distracted by the thesaurus...)
