You can absolutely change less (or more) it comes down to experience; where you are on the conscientiousness/ compulsiveness gradient, the health of the fish, level of stock, cost of the fish, level of paranoia and other complicated subjective and objective personal criteria.
I assume someone asking wants a straighter answer, soooo...50%/wk pwc. Can't hurt.
Change as much as you like. My refill water comes temperature-matched from my tap. I just dump it out of the 2g jar into the tank. (A 2g is easier to handle than a 5g bucket.) Sometimes he'll come over and play in the refill splash.
Another question (sorry). I have asked the forum this before, but I want to hear your answer....Could I do a 75% weekly water change on my 2.5 gallon, leave the betta in the tank, pour the water right in after adding the conditioner, and not shock my betta?
PS: The new water always comes from the same faucet...
Okay I have a question....You said on that thread for a 10 gallon with one betta 50% pwc a week....now I know you might as well change as much water as you safely can, but since you can do 50% a week on a 2.5 gallon with one betta, couldn't you technically do a smaller water change on a 10?
I knew what it was like to be a mere minion when my cat was still alive lol...But flying hawks and falcons sounds pretty amazing. I had a cockatiel for a couple months but I had to rehome him because I ended up being allergic. I was also getting annoyed with him as well to be honest. He was a dominant bird so he would just scream really loud all day long if someone wasn't holdin him. Then when I managed to get him to come out he would chew on my earlobes and try to bite my freckles off...
I don't really know if I'm into lizards; I just have the one. He is pretty boring but I still like him. He sure is good at looking majestic though.
