    Yeah. I know the feeling. Well, run it for a week with pure ammonia just for your own edification.

    Nitrates ~10 ppm amonnia look like a trace. I am going to say all clear and that the test was off. I have been too patient with this tank and am officially fed up.

    Yay! The ammonia went from .5ppm to .25ppm in a few days without me doing anything! Plus the nitrates have risen to a little above 5ppm! Yayyyy!!!

    Remind me...what are you using for an ammonia source. Is that fish-in?

    Don't remember the exact sell by date, but it was sometime in 2015. I added it friday afternoon, came back and checked the prams on sunday afternoon. The ammonia was the same as when I left, no nitrite as usual, and the nitrates were a little higher. So I think it is staring to work! I just gotta give it some more time and keep checking, but that sounds promising to me...
