Try with the fry for a few seconds, see if they have to fight the current.. If they do just get an air control valve. :)

I think its a bit early to tell :D I think its normal.. I'm worried the airstone might make it too turbulent in the bowl, try it without the fry and check the current.. Pumpkin is a shark in disguise XD

Airation? I have a really small airstone, do they need airation? Pumpkin eats like 1" bloodworms daily, so I don't trust her -_- and I would need to remove the gravel, be a pain in the arse....hey, is it normal if they all look like females?

Ya know, if they're half an inch long they should be fine with momma platy... They don't try to eat them once they're bigger than their mouth.. Plus aeration in a 1.5 sounds dicey.. :/

Since they can be such poop machines I think do a 90% every other day.. More if necessary.. I remember my molly fry pooping a lot! They eat so much X(
