Tiki, I'm so sorry about your fishies. :( I wish the stupid Maracyn II had come in time. And hey, thanks for offering to get me Panacur when I was looking for some. That's so sweet of you. :) Now it seems I'm looking for levamisole. Sigh. The two of us and Smellie could start a fish hospital right now.
Haha, I had similar things happen in the reverse. All but one of my friends growing up was Caucasian (stupid non-diverse town) and any time my friends went anywhere with me and my folks, everyone always assumed I was the friend and they were my parents' daughters. Being different never really bothered me until I got older and someone assumed I was my brother's girlfriend. And I can't cook. I apparently can't even parboil veggies for my fish because none of them will eat what I put in there.
That kind of reminded me of when I was in elementary school. My best friend was Chinese, well Taiwnese if you want to get technical..anyways, I was ALWAYS at their house. I would spend days there at a time. Her family was always going to Manhattan and china town and doing things with their other family members and I would tag along. I never noticed it back then but I guess I stuck out a bit being the only non asian one in the group. God, I miss her mother's cooking! My mom cant boil water without messing it up >.<
On a side note, she always had the coolest stationary too...
"I pictured you as being very tall and very BLOND...
i guess I was a bit off LOL"
That's sooo funny. No, I'm half-Korean and half some other Asian. I was adopted so I don't know for sure. My mom and brother are blond, though because my mom is mostly Swedish and dang proud of it. I'm only 5'2" with not quite black hair. Hehehe. So funny.
Yeah, but I think I liked Pirates before it became a franchise. It was cool just as a ride. But that's just me. You used to work at Disneyland? Awesome. A family friend used to work at Disneyland waaaay long ago. He was at the Jungle Cruise attraction.
I dont know about the one in CA but the one in florida, all they did was add jack sparrow into two scenes and added barbossa as the captain of the boat - the wicked wench. I used to work at that attraction too.
I like that idea better than one with all the character birds and stuff. But it's been years and years since I've been to Disneyland. 2000, I think, was the last time I went. Or maybe 2001. Long time ago. I wish they hadn't redone Pirates of the Caribbean to match the movie, though. I liked the old original one best.
