To add onto my last message on his behavior:

Last night I moved him into a new 10gall tank (unfiltered for now) with the water 60% full. He's become even more active and seems excited--for lack of a better word. Definitely happier. Doesn't act like a fish that may possibly be in pain. xD

Thank you for the kindness, along with your prompt reply. :] The red patches look... unnatural. I could only hope that they are something from my betta's genetics.

I also think it can't be Septicemia because of that. I do think it is/was a bacterial infection. A worker I spoke to at my LPS said if the Bettafix takes care of it, it may be a bacterial infection. (On the side, though, I'm confused; I've been researching Betta fix and have found people saying that it is no good for infections because it is only an antiseptic?)

I have taken 6 different shots for you to look at! Direct links:

Throughout my 5-6 months of having him, I've never seen him dart or try to scratch against anything. If anything he's always had a monstrous appetite and seems to have grown tremendously from when I first got him in August.

    Thank you!

Hello! Sorry to disturb you with this if I am, but do you think you could help me out with your opinion here really quick? I would really appreciate... >_<

Over the past 2-3 months my betta had developed red patches on his lower and upper fin(s). He never acted lethargic nor lost his appetite or any of that other stuff, though. He was beginning to develop some red tint on his ventral fins, too. I had him on bettafix for a week or so and the red tint on his ventral fins has vanished. The bloody patches on his lower and upper fin are still there, and I hope that they may just be scars?

It wouldn't be septicemia, would it? Because if it was so he probably wouldn't be as active and maybe even dead after 2-3 months? (Oh and also, there's a reddish hue on his head as well; he's a bluee betta)

I just always see your name often when I research disease threads and you seem to know a lot, and that's why I'm asking you. xD Thank youuu ~

    Hi!

I love NYC! One of my favorite places to visit! Your weekend sounds a lot like mine, taking care of the fish. I've been doing that all day today and taking pics and posting them. I have to make a run to the pet store for another heater. I'm hoping I don't see any more babies or sick adults in dire need, but if I do, I may have another friend when I get home.

My holiday plans are boring. I have a really small family and other than having dinner with my mom, sister and my nephews, I probably won't do much else. I'll try and see my step-mom and youngest sister after that sometime. It'll be hard since this is the first Christmas since we lost my dad in April.

Gotta run-will be back on later! Hope you're having a good day!

    Hi Sakura!

I've posted the Betta pics. The babies have their own album & I'll update it as they grow and include dates. Would appreciate some feedback on Em as to the sex. I had to use my older digital camera, so the clarity isn't great. My BB takes better pics-kinda sad. Gotta run to go get one more heater! Be back later!

Yes, you're right! That's them! I loved that program and got to see it live at Stars On Ice when it still came to STL. I've started putting up skating pictures and they're in them. You don't even want to know all the injuries that come from skating and dance. I've been training and dancing for 4 months with stress fractures in both legs.

I totally love ice dancing too! It's beaten out freestyle for me. It's technically harder because of all the footwork. And I'm too tall and heavy to do any lifts. I've skated with an ice dance partner for NOI, but have yet to compete with one. Mark (my usual partner) has stress fractures so bad in both feet that he's been off the ice for 6 months. I can solo it though. Thanks! I have LOTS of pictures of skating stuff. I'll try and post those since they are on my PC. My betta pics are all on the BB. I'll try and grab the digital to snap some photos of the babies. So tiny!

It really makes watching the teams compete more fun. Have you heard of Meryl Davis and Charlie White? They are my favs and probably some of the nicest people I've met. Very down to earth. Super friendly. Nice to know people in a completely new city. I was so proud of them for winning Worlds! It was a program I got to see performed live for the first time at a dress rehearsal.
