That is a great temp for them. Not too cold to feed but not too warm that they should be fed 3-4 times a day (and that's a lotta poop). You could save the food and try to feed it to them next spring. Maybe after not eating for a few months they would be more likely to try the floating stuff.

No problem! Oh those little derps. I guess they are stuck in their ways. It's not the end of the world. The sinking stuff is better for them.

    Thanks Whitney... lol!

How much would it cost to come my way? I am all for it since the girls don't have a whole lot of plants to hide in.

I know I am excited! I need to get my permit do I can drive...

Dwarf sag is an awesome plant, reproduces awesomely. Even in the bad sand they were sending off runners. I usually buy mine from Guppies13 shipping is usually included in the price and you usually get more than what you ordered. Plus they are in Walnut Creek so it is close.

I the rotala in my 5 gallon recovered and is starting to grow. Yeah it started running within about four hours or less. It did clear up so it isn't so cloudy now. I should upload a picture once I get home, I think it looks a whole lot better.

My wisteria grew like a champ, the ludwigia did okay, I salvaged some ludwigia, hopefully my tank starts to grow in. It is less dense now but the girls don't care as they are always at the front. I am thinking of getting some more dwarf sag to expand the "lawn" a bit so it looks even more grown in.

The tank went through a mini cycle and was super cloudy! I kept my media in dechlorinated tap so there should till be some bacteria, may have lost a bit.

I hope I get the light fixture for my bday, the HO one not the Aqueon one.

I think sand sucks for live plants unless you have a large population of MTS and poke the sand every so often. Dirt makes it look too dirty though. I think gravel is a much better substrate if it is natural. I love th look of sand though! Maybe if you have an airline funding with hsmall hole through out the bottom so the sand doesn't go bad?

Nope, unless some were in the soil. I still have the sand though, not sure if any survived outside in the rain... I may see, that way they can clean up any plant matter, easier on my part. I am thinking of getting more dwarf sag and a whole lot more ghost shrimp as I like seeing them.

Oh and yes it went bad :( that's probably one of many on why the ludwigia went bad.
