I got two red dwarf gouramis (boys) and will be maybe getting a third blue dwarf as well a bolivian ram or two as mid swimmers. Excited!

I was told to PM you regarding my betta. I don't mean to bug you, though. My Floyd has developed a swelling or lump on one side of his body and hasn't responded to multiple treatments over the past 3-4 weeks. He is still active and eating. No pine-coning. At a loss as to what it might be. It was suggested that it might be a tumor.
Any advice?

Jelling over your honey gouramis. I can't get them here in Puerto Rico. None of my LFSs carry them. Argh! I wanted a trio for my 20G.

A few weeks ago you gave me some help in identifying a sick fish.. The black belt cichlid.. I'm happy to report that after the treatment you recommended he seems to be doing better. He's still a bully, but swimming around the tank, and even eating, which is unbelievable.. Strangely i've tried feeding him all sorts of dry pellets, frozen foods, and the only food that he'll eat are earthworms!? A bit strange.. I Think you may be right that it's a male..? Wuld be nice to find a female for him, or any kind of a compatible tank mate.. He's mean.. All the best!

Sakura fish don't have any other symptoms besides stopped eating and he will swim sideways in an S form at it. He is 2 years old. What it can be? Thank you very much. Also i am helping chicklette . We treating with aq salt 3tsp/gall. I think i want to mail medication. He is not doing good at all. And i know chcklette has to take a bus to the store so i decide to mail meds for ich. Which one i can fast find at the store?

I think Jewel might have external parasites. Sometimes she will rub up against the filter, she isn't interested (not like she last week) in food or bloodworm. She rests more often. Her colouring is the same as it always has been, she hasn't lost weight. I am reluctant to just go ahead and treat her, even with aq salt for fear that I'm treating her for the wrong thing. First, I am going to test her tank water. I use test strips. I know liquid test kits are more accurate, but I don't think I could afford one. There is only one petstore in my area, but since they don't sell fish, they only have a limited selection of fish products. The aquarium stores I deal with are 2 busses away.
