    Yeah, right now I don't use anything under 5 gallons for bettas, but I thought that I might and see how well they do in a smaller tank. Thanks for your help Sakura

    You're welcome. 2.5g is a pretty good size. It can be easily heated and even filtered if you want (although filters aren't necessary).

    Okay, thank you Sakura. I do know we're to find a 2.5 gallon long. I guess that this might be the home for him

    I kept one of my plakats in a 1.75 gallon kritter keeper for several weeks and he did quite fine. Built nests and everything. For me, it's the length of the tank. He had more room to actually swim in the 1.75g but long kritter than he did in the 3 gallon tall hexagon tank. So I'd say if you find a nice tank that is smaller than 5 gallons and it works for you and the betta, go for it. :)

    Hi Sakura. What is your opinion on using anything smaller than a 5 gallon tank? Would this be okay, for a male Betta preferably plakat. I know that 2.5 gallons is the minimum but aren't plakats very active
