Thanks, I think she didn't want to help me because I look young. I saw her nicely "yelling", well telling smaller kids she had to help other costumers first, which is a sorry excuse for I am not gonna help you. I look like I am like 13-14 so yeah.
Seems like being nice and considerate is no longer appreciated in modernized countries :(That is why I always have and always ill want to live away from people in the country... People think I am an ass, I think I am just blunt and they don't want to hear the truth sometimes.

She was soooo mistreating you. Ugh, people like that make me wanna dump fishwater on their heads. I doubt she would have even known what a truly sick betta looked like anyway. You're a good guy, nice and polite, and you totally deserve to be treated better than that.

I think I will! I mean the fish was swimming around, the only thing wrong I could see is the water is cloudy. Oh and I asked her if I could buy him (This is before she said there was something wrong with him) and she said she can't take him out as it is past closing. I then asked when he would be put into the cup and she said tomorrow, so I asked if I could just take him home right then. That is the moment when she said he isn't feeling good (He was one of the healthiest no doubt), she hten took the little .5 gallon to the back. So RUDE!
Okay well I will look Monday then, since tomorrow is Easter and most shops will be closed. I would get a female, but I won't have money to buy the plants and gravel.
-
I would seriously complain. That's just not right at all! *getting mad* She probably just didn't want to bother with getting the betta out of the little tank or something.
If you rinse the river pebbles well, I don't see why they can't be used. To be honest, they're almost the same as the expensive "aquarium" gravel anyway.

Yeah the sucky thing was it took her until the store closed to even notice me! Then I asked her a question and she said she can't do anything because the store closed! Petco at least helps me when I ask, only one time has their service disappointted me.
Is it okay to get river pebbles from the home improvement store for fishtanks? I know play sand is okay so I am wondering if their river rock would be okay.

That is soooooo rude! You should complain to the manager because that's not right. Customer service means helping everyone, not just adults! And anyway, in my book, 15 (soon to be 16) year olds are pretty much adults. Seriously, that's so rude. I give you credit for not yelling at her.

Sakura I was gonna get a dragon male at Petsmart the other day. The lady told me he doesn't look so good, though I was watching him swim around that .5 gallon show tank while many other bettas weren't moving at all. I waited there for like 45 minutes before I could just ask her if it was for sale. I was waiting right in the fish area for about 30 minutes straight, ehile she was helping adults that came in there way after I did. I kept saying excuse me, yet she continued to ignore me.
-
Yeah... Someone told me to get three. I would but I don't like them sitting in the cups very long. It's like you buy them and they see a big tank and then they can't go any where. Just seems sort of mean. Plus the girl can give the 5 gallon some ammonia while she is in there, maybe the cycle will start back up
Oh yeah I heard of crypt melt, as long as the roots are nice and healthy they will come back. Especially since I have dirt. I will probably have to go buy some more plants. Only a few pieces of ludwigia are doing okay. Actually the only plant that is Doug super good is my wisteria and my swords, but you can't go wrong with them.
-
Since hte tank will be rearranged, it's a perfect time to pick up another girl.
Crypts are good but it can take them a while to settle in. Just be prepared for them to "melt." If you give them ferts, they should come back within a few weeks but they'll look like they're dead during that adjustment period. Nice, low-light plants, perfect for the corners of the tank where light has a hard time reaching.
-
It shouldn't take that long, I will still have a decent size space though. Maybe i will pick up another girl or something. Since I will be rearranging the tank and I have the 5 gallon open and available for the gal to be in there. The sucky thing is there are only a few plants left, well there are still a lot, just not the amount I started with.
I have a really cool idea for a lay out though, can't wait to try it. What other plants should I use? I was thinking of crypt as the Petsmart has one, maybe more. They reproduce like crazy too!
