I'm so sorry to hear about Peaches. :( How long has she been that way? 3 tsps epsom salt and if you can get the metro from your gma and Peaches will eat, definitely use that. You know what, even if she won't eat medicated food, mix up a metro bath for her if you can. I would use 1/8 of a tsp per gallon. It won't be nearly as effective but every little bit helps.
The platies just hovered there and didn't eat a thing. I think the male may have had parasites. He had the strangest poo. It was a long string of brown, then clear, then brown, then clear. I swear the thing was about an inch and a half long. I had planned to treat him with General Cure too but he up and died on me before I could start meds. I think I have very bad luck with livebearers.
They really are! That's why I feel worse.. Their bodies looked so sad. :( I lost one the next day that i got them and the one today got stuck in a plant and died there. :<
What kind of signs are the platies showing? Do you think it might be what Chiana had? They were in the same tank right?
One of my platies died last night and the female looks to be not too far behind. I'm starting her on General Cure because I don't know what else to do. She won't eat. Why do I keep getting fish who won't eat? And I'm down to only 3 platy fry, too. Lost 4 somehow, someway.
Hehe your platies and otos seem to be slacking off XD
I had to go buy another strip light too.. The old one burned out.. I had to rewire and connect the new one all over again, instead of just replacing the tube. -__-
I was looking for the Kelvin reading on it to tell you but it doesn't even have one mentioned lol! Just that it is 8W, nothing else XD
I finally got a good bulb at my Petco. The guy in there was like, "Hey, you causin' trouble again?" They know me too well. But I noticed yesterday that I have new growth on my wisteria! I just didn't notice it before it because it's covered in red/brown algae. -__-
From what Ofl says you need a 6500K bulb. Plants are weird XD
I read that cabomba can survive in any lighting conditions except darkness if the lighting is consistently the same.. Maybe that's why it works for me XD
*facepalm* That's just amazing, Fighter. XD And fishcurl's wisteria looks super great too and it's just in a little hex tank. It's a 10g and I've been giving the tank 1ml of Seachem Flourish twice a week. I'm on the hunt now for a brighter lightbulb but one that's not so bright both the fish and I go blind. O.O
