Vegetable oil should be safe. The instructions for metro usually say to use 1tsp. It is really hard to overdose it so it should be safe.

I hate to bug you again (seems like that's all I do) but for making a metro soak for food, what would the dosage be? 1 tsp of metro? I found some instructions on Hikari's HealthAid website but it called for using grain alcohol as a binder. Not sure about that. So I was going to go with some instructions I found in one of my disease books that uses a small amount of vegetable oil as the binder.

I think we may have celebrated Bud's recovery too soon. Input Nirvana just posted and said all the new growth is coming off and the fin rays are starting to show again. He's putting him back into the tetracycline but I'm seriously beginning to wonder how much more medicine a fish can handle, even a big sturdy king like Bud.

Quick question: My HM was off for a few days, hiding a lot, so I started treating him with the Anti-Bacterial pellets to ward off an infection. Now I've noticed he's bloated a bit but his SB is okay, should I or can I switch to Anti-Parasite pellets? He's also in epsom salts.
