Hey copper, since I haven't actively studied birds in a while and mostly feed Sprite veggies, do you know if parrots can eat oranges? I was eating one and Sprite came up and started nibbling the peel.

Dragon Goby, I love those creatures. Thankfully I'm working with a well-informed fish-lover that told me about those guys before I did any researching on the 'net. After I got home and did do the researching I was surprised at all the slander. =\

So much slander seems to go around when it comes to fish... we all should know, since most of us keep bettas on this forum.

By the time I get out of training, the three youngest girls I have are likely to be full-sized. (The other two in the sorority are old farts, lul.)
I'll remember that though... Reminds me of my turtle. One might assume he moves slow, but they're actually very fast critters. Mine's got a slender build, too, which helps.
I'll be sure to keep up with feedings when I get one, too. |D

Interesting to know... and yeah, I had a Pearl Gourami, but he lived out back in the giant pond with the other bettas. No problems there, but there was a lot of room, too.

Thanks for the info! I'm likely not going to be able to get one until after I'm done with Basic Military Training. I'm going to keep researching too, but that really helps clarify some things (especially since you've got first-hand experience.... There's a lot of bogus websites, I know).

Also, I find it a little ironic that they're African and bettas are Thai. xD But hey, if they live in the same types of conditions and get along well, I suppose.

Ah, I see! Thanks for the picture; I recognize them with the bigger image. ;D
I think we had some in our store at one time... I thought they were pretty cool, but I don't know much about them. (Haven't done a lot of research yet...) Are they a social/schooling fish or can they be by themselves?

And i was thinking of probably getting an apartment and sharing it with a couple friends. I think that would come out cheaper than a dorm. And yes i do have one, two + a couple dozen fry to be exact :D
