I couldn't believe it. The parrot was kind of leaning backward to keep its balance but otherwise it seemed fine. He was probably going 20 mph and who knows how fast he went when he hit the main drag. There's no way he could go on the freeway though . . .

Ohmigosh. I just saw a friend of my neighbor's go down the street on a motorcycle with a parrot on his shoulder. This is the second time. The first time I thought it had to be a trick but this time I saw the bird move as he went by.

Seriously, that does suck. It's been almost a month, right? But I'm glad they still have a job for you. It would be have been so wrong if they no longer had a position open, after all that time. That's great and I think you'll be such an awesome employee. Finally, a pet store employee who knows things about pets! So congratulations, Copper. :D

Ohmigosh, you haven't even started work yet because of the drug test? Yikes! I don't blame you for not wanting to work there anymore. Wow. I think you'd be a great candidate for a photo studio. Either one, pet store or photo studio, you'd be a natural.

Well the doc looked her over and said she looked healthy, so I'm going to take his word for it.

So this is strange. Spike hasn't had any human food in the past couple days and now there is whole seeds in her stool, not a good sign. I have noticed her being on floors or the bottom of her cage more so than normal, and she's been more crabby lately. I'm supposed to go out of town tomorrow...grr Luckily i have a good vet nearby that will see her today.

She doesn't get dairy too often, and when she does its not that much. I may have to fight her off at times but its for her own good. She loves noodles though. I swear she'd kill for spaghetti.

Yeah my Girl Spike has been my baby for the past 11 years. She's even made the move with me out to SD for college. My sister hand raised her after the parents abandoned her. She has a club foot and her toes never grew in properly so that must be why the parents did away with her, but my sister saved her and now she's happy as ever. She eats everything, literally. Her bird seed, my hamburger, my boyfriends ice cream. I know a lot of it isn't that healthy for her but she seems to be doing just fine. Anything you can eat she at least tries to eat. I also have a snake but not many people are too excited about that one lol

Hey, I just noticed you have a Galah. I didn't even know you could get one in this country. Aren't they a little noisy?

I used to fly falcons and hawks: even had a wild raven buddy, once. Always thought I'd like a Galah as a tame/trainable pet
