If I have some spare java moss or other small plants I'll leave those in their cups to help keep the water clean but for the most part I put all my live plants in a large plastic tupperware during travel. The set up you used works perfectly plants or no plants :)
Good to know! And, yeah, it is such a boring trip. Do you use live plants? I actually ended up having Sir Crispin with about 1/3 of the water in his tank between the driver's seat and shotgun this time. I didn't know what else to do with his plants.
Same trip as me, it's very boring... I use plastic containers for that since a bag would run out of good air. You can even bring an extra container of clean water and do a partial water change during the trip.
The trip would be from MO to MA, so a length that you're familiar with. This last time, I took my only betta, Sir Crispin, with me and the trip ended up taking about three days.
Well, I like to put them in small plastic containers with tight fitting lids. I know other people just put them in plastic fish bags though. I've always just used the containers they came in from Petco/Petmart or tupperware also works. Make sure you separate them for the trip. How long is it?
Thanks :) I'll post something sometime today about choosing my pairs. I'm really having trouble deciding which ones to go with. I want to breed 2 pairs but I have so many pretty guys to choose from D: Oh bettas~
He's quite the stunner! It might be a bad idea to spawn him to his sister, if they have DT lurking in there genes. The black copper girl would certainly make some interesting babies. But, I'm still curious about the first girl. Maybe that's something to post on the forum?
Oh I forgot, here's the guy; Senshi... he is not a DT but carries many DT traits, which is why I'm a bit hesitant to cross him with his spawn sister even though she would give be the most coppering.
Oh man, that's a pretty tough decision. I also like the coloring on the first one. But, I'm not sure how marbling genetics work. What does the male look like?
