Im honestly not sure. If when you release him he wont stop chasing them, Id return them. Some bettas just dont do well with tank mates. A little chasing is fine, but if he wont stop for a long time, you might wanna return them.

I got him a few days before Valentines day..Ever since then he has been sickly off and on..He was looking alot better so I decided to move him into a divided 10 gallon and it went horribly wrong! He started acting real sick and laying on the bottom with clamped fins and he was pale..I now have him in his 1 gallon critter keeper for now with IAL and aquarium salt.. and he is doing a little better...Maybe he just likes small spaces? haha :P

Yes, thats good. I told you that I wasnt sure if it was normal or not. Try creating a post asking in the lounge or in compatibility section.
They may be looking for food, make sure you feed them. They like tropical fish flakes (small)

Who told you that? ^^; Its often accepted that substantial rearrangement of the tank lessens the fish's aggression. It did for mine, theyd be like oh? What is this strange new place? And would typically be less aggressive to tank mates, even the snails.

Theyre usually specialized in different species other than bettas, they know lots of things and have more members than this site :)
And yeah, rearrange, wait a day or two, then put him in :D
