I don't really know what the "super" part means but a moderator just helps to keep things on a forum running smoothly and keeps obnoxious teenagers in line. lol jk

I really hope it is nothing serious and is just his color. I have not been able to find any betta's on aquabid or google images that even look like him. I think once I know what I am doing, and know I can take care of my little guy, I Might get a betta off of aquabid. I saw my dream betta! (and a very freaky looking one, poor thing was "a face only a mother could love" lol. If I was a fish I would give that one his territory with NO questions asked! ;))

Nope I keep all my bettas tanks at 78-80 degrees... I believe some bettas are just...sickly..improper breeding and such..maybe.. I plan on getting him his own 2.5-3 gallon unfiltered..

Hi, Neil~ It was the one where you were being corrected for something - keeping your fish in a too-small container? I can't remember exactly but you responded very positively and non-defensively. Oh, it was about returning a sick fish to the store. Instead of reacting emotionally, you handled your response quite well, I thought...

Im not sure, Im not the right person to ask. Ive never owned them before. Again, if you want info on that, try the compatibility forum/ask them.

I have olive/zebra nerite snails, which I think are better (NOT the horned ones, they dont do well with bettas). Theyre smaller (like a nickel sized at largest) and dont breed even with the other sex, they need salt water. In a ten gallon you can have like ten of these cuties.
I bought mine from, who shipped them well and in good health. He's really nice, too.

Snails will usually eat algae wafers (they sell at pet stores) and some* (but not all) eat blanched veggies like cucumber, zuchinni, etc. I think the wafers are easiest.
Check the compatibility section for other breeds of snails people like. A good snail will eat food like the wafers, not breed asexually and does not have horns on its shell.
