Was it hard to get the sane out of the tank when you made the switch? Like did it stick everywhere??

And how'd your plants do in it?

I loooove sand. I actually just switched back over to gravel though...Unfortunately the sand I chose was too "powdery" and it was always in my water column making it look foggy once I added my Corydoras.I was short of "funds" so instead of buying pool filter sand I found a cheap bag of pea-gravel at my local garden store for 3 dollars for a 30 pound bag. worked lovely.I would love to switch back to sand eventually though. I think it is actually easier to clean. No need to plunge the siphon into the sand...Just hover it above the sand a few inches and make little circular motions. Or you can use a "turkey baster" to suck up and debris that sits on top of the sand. I used my hand every few weeks or so to stir the sand a little so it didn't compact.
