    Or would it be just easier to use a breeding net?

    I've heard of dividing a 10g and putting mama and papa in one side and let the fry into the other side. Is that ok? I'm very curious about breeding! :)

    OK! I'll check out your threads! :D

    At least a ten gallon for growing out the fry and for keeping expecting mothers. As soon as they are born, remove the mom, cause she will eat her babies. :{

    And I used to have a HMPK :{ but he passed away a few months ago from a tumor. My two new boys are Pk's one is a delta Pk :DD They are beautiful. I posted a post of them with pictures. on here :D

    Its cause there are wayyyy too many VT's out there, and from what I've noticed not as many people are like OMG VT!!! and are more OMG HM or HMPK!! But as far as guppies go, go for it :D they are super easy to breed and care for.

    I was actually thinking about guppies. Betta breeding doesn't sound like a good thing for a begginer. lol Why can't you breed VT's? Store Credit = More Animals!

    Nope, my males got the girls preggers. But not many babies lived sadly.

    If You're thinking about breeding bettas, first think about how many there are out there that need homes. :/ however if you have a good breeding pair of non VT's and have read up on it, then go for it. Just know that keeping the fry alive takes a lot of work and that in the end, you won't make much off of them. Store credit sounds nice though :D I'd love store credit at one of my local pet shops that sells the foods and items I use most. AND they have every few animals for sale, since they buy from breeders, >> thats where I got boo and my super old fish pixie.

    Were the original females pregnant when you got them? My LPS ssepertes males and females which is good.

    I'd like to go into breeding, and maybe sell them to my LPS for store credit. I heard someone on here saying they did that with bettas. I can't remember who, though.

    Well I had 5, then they had babies, only three babies lived, they turned out to be all females. The original stock died out awhile ago, and I only have the three grown babies left now.

    However, I don't plan on getting more, since I couldn't buy males anyways since I have a betta in there with them. I figure that since I only have dull colored females he'll be fine with them.

    How may gups do you have? I have 5 males. One is psychotic and can't tolerate other fish. lol
