I just used an old olive jar I cleaned out well with vinegar and rinsed well.. then filled it with gravel and added a root tab for the potted plant...I don't know how well it would do long term though..I plan on moving that plant into my 10 gallon eventually..I just didn't have a deep enough root base at the moment for it in my 3 gallon..

Hello. I was just wondering if you could tell me how you make your "jared plants" that you have in some of your tanks? I am wanting to set up two 5gs for 2 of my marble HM males and I am not wanting to root the live plants I purchase for the tanks and I just love your idea!...so If you could get back with me as soon as you can that would be great! :].
