I was reading something you posted about ADFs, and it looked like you knew what you were talking about.
I bought freeze dried bloodworms for my ADFs, but they float, how am I supposed to feed it to them?

I'm doing fine. Got a larger (30 gal) tank with stand on Craigslist, for my 2 German Rams and Cardinals. They are doing so great. They had eggs, but ate them, and so far haven't bred again, but I'm sure they will. I'm not really encouraging it, because I'm not really ready for how to deal with fry. My tanks are looking great. Plants are filling in etc. Oh, I also have a 5 gal with just Red Cherry Shrimp. They breed like crazy! Some will be moved over to the tanks, and will likely be eaten, but live food will be good for the fish. I just haven't had the heart to do it yet :)

    Hi,

Acidic pH will cause your goldfish's skin to slough off. Not advisable as they are very prone to parasitic infections.

Thanks for the well wishes with them. I'll be bummed if I lose them, that is why I decided (with the LFS recommendation) to wait a bit longer and get my Ph lowered to closer the ph the fish are currently in. I just posted regarding a question while I do this. I understand now how this is a process, and may even take a week or more! Oh well, he'll get more GR in a couple weeks if the 2 I have my eye on are sold :( The big committment I'll be making is purchasing 10 gal of RO water each week (with a Ph of 6.4) to use for my WC. Only $2.50 a week, I can justify that. I may even try to breed them and sell back to LFS to make $ back on these little guys. Plus, it would be a fun addition to my obsession with the hobby. All to be determined at a later date. I will post pics as soon as I get them. I've made their tank really nice. Hiding spaces, plants etc.

Hey Amanda! Okay, Blue Opaline went to LFS with lots of others :) I couldn't even id him after he'd been put in. I wish him a good home, poor dude! I've got my "new" tank set up for 2 German Rams for tomorrow. Got soft water etc, higher temps and I'm feeling good about the decision. My husband thought it "a waste" to get the Figure 8's or one GSP because I'm limited to the fish I can put with them. I've re-set up my tank, and it does look good, and I'm hoping my 2 German Rams will like it. Now, if the 2 I had my eye on are gone tomorrow (yes, they're open on the 4th) than I'll have to wait as they get more in. There are from a breeder in Oregon, and they are so beautiful. Pics, I promise! Cardinal Tetras are on sale for $1.00 each at Petsmart, and I plan on adding them to the tank with the rams.

I'm not sure what to do. Turns out my meanie isn't working out, so I offered to take him back, but I think I'm going to bring him to my LFS. They said they'd take him. I just can't decide what to do. I like the GSP, but I realize I'd have to get rid of most of my plants in there. I like Chiclids but find most of the ones I like, won't work in a smaller tank. I changed the tank over to sand, during the short time the fish was gone, so I'd like to get eel loaches, which I have in my other tank, they're great, but couldn't have them if I had a GSP. Decisions, decisions. Ugh. Trying to do this now, while I'm off for the summer :)

Maybe I should just plan on getting some Cherry shrimp and one or two of those cute little dwarf puffers? Do you think that would work?
