Hay there! Foogy tank is a great sign! It means its starting to cycle and you should expect it to go away on its own in either the next few days to a week or so. Good bacteria are begining to colonise and establish themselves on the filter and such it just takes some time for them to find these places. Just keep up with a dailey 20-30% water change with treated water for the next week or so riggerusly and it should help.

Thanks for that tip. When I bought my 10 gal tank today it came with a little thing of it to treat 10 gallons. But I also picked up a bottle from the store.

I forgot to mention to ya last night that you need to get some kind of Tap water Declorinator. I use Prime In a red bottel by SeaChem witch is super easy to use, just 2 drops of it per gallon of fresh tap water, but eny product in your budjet should work. Basicly this is really important to use each time you add new water to your tank when you do your 50% water changes each week. The stuff makes Tap water safe for all fish by removing chlorine, heavy metals, and other harsh chemicles they add to tap water that makes it safe for us to drink but are poisinus to fish. I hope you ketch this before you go to the petstore to save you a double trip!
