I'm sorry I really don't know anything about turtles :( I've never had one either.
Maybe do a little research and determine if they are social animals, see how well they do with company.

my red ear slider slepps all the time and when i pick him up he doesnt pen his eyes.
i take him outside to play in the grass but he only moves around a lil but then he just goes to sleep ?
should i get another turtle for him to play with?
