    I think you have fin rot.

    I don't fully know how to cure it, but so far, I think your doing good. Just make sure he has clean water (No slacking in watechanges) and everytime you do a waterchange, add 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of aquarium salt per gallon of water.

    Hi, well I did have it split up like that but now I just have all of my 3 males in the 10g and have my female in my mini tank. I might be getting a 20g to have all of them together in one tank. They havent gotten to the point of blowing each other off yet, that might be a while yet haha. Clean well to keep the sand clean, I have some cory cats to do the job. And I got a filter which I have no Idea if it really cleans but at the moment Im satisfied on how its looking. I hope that helps :)

    Yes each strain of bettas has their own distinct look. You will never know the gene pool unless you buy from a breeder....
