Solar is a good name :D Bettas do scare you sometimes one time one of mine jumped out of the cup he was in while i was doing a water change. I went out to fill the bucket and came back to find him all dry on my cabinet!

I don't know, IAL might be alright.... I don't see why it would bother them, unless they're sensitive to any chemical change in the water whatsoever...

Well, sometimes my betta is "encouraged" if I put a mirror up for him. Although really they just do it when they want, haha! He made the one last night after a water change. That does it too, sometimes.

Some bettas make big nests and some make smaller ones. He might just be practicing, though!

Well, bettas get a stripe down their bodies when they are stressed. You may not notice it on your betta, though, because of his light coloration. Just watch his behavior, if he's active and eating then he's probably decently happy. :)

Hmm, I don't really know. Maybe you should put up a question in the compatibility forum, those people would probably know better than I do about the nutrition contents of the food. :)

Hmm..... try separating him for a bit while feeding the cory... or giving the cory algae wafers/pellets instead of bloodworms. Maybe that would help, since bettas are carnivores.
