Haha! Yeah, my housemates weren't too hot on it either, but they got over it. I insisted. >_>

No, not really. I don't want to have to keep the live food alive. |D

But I do occasionally feed frozen, like brine shrimp or bloodworms. Right now I don't have any, so my poor fish has to settle for pellets, but I'll eventually get myself over to the fish shop and buy some worms/shrimp/something for him.

Well, I'm not sure about MOST... but I know that a significant number of them are, and it's not unheard of for a betta to only like one kind of food.

Sometimes they're just picky. I'm lucky, Freed isn't picky at all, he'll try whatever... and if it tastes okay to him, he'll swallow. :l
