Hi there, can you tell me why my male beta keeps flaring at me? I know they flare at each other for territory reasons, but he flares at me when I touch my finger to his glass, or when my face is to close to his tank. Is he angry with me, or maybe he's trying to intimidate me.

Hi, umm so I have a question, it has been a 2weeks that Kaimu-shin has been off the salt treatment, he is growing his fins and last week I got him the kasibo house with the plastic bamboo plant that comes with it(got it at petco), but then I noticed tears in his fins so I took it out got the plant out did a 90% water change, I took him out of the tank and he stressed so bad he turned white with the black lines, so I added silk plants and the kasibo with no plastic plant I just cut them out, and a new decor thingy, I aclimated him, he eat after I put him in, and I was checking him but then I noticed that his fins look like ragged at the tips and mostly were the tears were, I dont see black but then it is hard to see as he is black with teal blue, umm dont know what to do if go ahead and treat with API melafix or do a salt treatment again. what do you recommend ? I will take a pic of him and send it to you when I know how to... thank you for your help.

I also have an apple snail I kept with her, and it seems to be fine

I know what you mean about people not understanding the necessary precautions. The way it was brought up and suggesting I didn't know what I was doing... it was a bit offending. I love rescuing and treating sickly betta and I've been doing it for some time now. But I will thank you for trying to inform. :)
Please understand, however, that not everyone rushes blindly into rescues and that you should approach the subject less condescendingly

I know you mean well to give me this information, however I'm finding it a little rude... I've been owning and rescuing Betta for quite some time now. I know the procedures. :/

OHHHHHH!!! You're talking about the mirror ball! I have one for EACH TANK. I have one of each of EVERYTHING for each tank. 3 cleaning tubes, 3 nets, 3 mirrors, 3 buckets...etc. I even have a set testing tubes for each tank. I thought this was considered mandatory for proper fish care.?
