oh sorry i think your wrote me that. Well if it one gall do 3tsp/gall not 1 tsp though. Can you tell me if he had those symptoms white spots anywhere on his body, looks like he sprinkled with salt? Darting, rubbing his body on objects? Also what color is his poo? I can see something white on his body. Does he has fuzzy white cottony patches on his body? How long? Can you remind to me how long he is sick? I think i read somewhere that he had slime coat when you bought her? How long you have her?

wait i got confused how big is the tank she is in now? If you add a quarter and then add 1/2 tsp it only-1tsp / gall. I would really recommend 3 tsp/gall.

I figure I put in litre of water in her tank, so I added quarter spoon. At 7 30, I will add 1/2 spoon more. Thanks again. If this does the trick, no need 5o worry about sending the meds out.

Hey i didn't see your message. I would use 3tsp/gall. I see Sakura also recommending the same. Don't worry you can go ahead and dissolve rest of the salt and add to the tank. You can do it gradually. Do 2tsp/gall and then in 6 hrs add another dose -1tsp/gall. So you end up with total of 3tsp/gall. Then you can just continue daily water changes with 3tsp/gall.

So if your tank is 5 gall you will need to add 15tsp/gall of the aq salt.

Her water is still 80 degrees, so I scooped out some water from her tank, mixed 1 quarter tsp of aq salt (there's about 1 litre in her tank) made sure the salt was completely dissolved, mixed it a few more times, then poured the mixture into the tank where she was. I poured it in at 1 47. Do I need to stay up till nearly 2 am so add another quarter spoon??

I changed Jewel's water, replaced it with 80 degree tap water. Conditioned it, hoping the heater will maintain the temperature. I am leaving all the gravel and plants out for now. I will start the salt treatment after lunch. I have several pictures of her in my album. Please check out the one called Does Jewel have external parasites, to see if I diagnosed her right.

Jewel is breathing better now. However, I think she may have pop eye. Her eyes are slightly raised, she's a bit lethargic, and her one gill is definitely raised away from her body. I know when they use their gills, they will go away from there body for a moment, but her one gill is always protruding away from her body. I took several pictures of it but when I upload them onto my laptop, those particular pictures aren't detected. I have uploaded many pictures in the past. I am going to check out the beta fish diseases to ee what I can find, and hopefully trest Jewel.

You need filter in you do partial water changes and cycle you tank. Since you do full water change for him every 8 days you really don't need a filter. I hope you betta doing good and recovered from breathing problems?

I'm not sure which message you're talking about. I thought I posted all my questions to Sekera in her private message box.
