- Yes, but I do not think that breeders should breed unless they have quality winning show dogs who have titles and genetic health testing proving that they are worth passing down genes.
Even at that, I'd rather adopt from a shelter.
When I am older every one of my dogs and cats will either be from a shelter or picked up out of a bad situation.
I do not have Teeney any more. I will PM you the link to the thread that explains it all.
- Well they need home too. I think sometimes even dog from the breeder can end up in the shelter,if they can't find home for him. At least you have 2 dogs. I want to rescue another dog in my life. Can not do it now ,may be some time later , i hope. I hope your betta is doing good:)
- Yes, it is indeed very sad. And youre right, most of the time it is either the owner wants to make money OR they are irresponsible and choose to not spay/neuter or cannot afford to do so. :(
The pitty in my avatar has been with me for 7 years now, so no he is not new :)
We did add a yorkie puppy to our family; dont get me wrong I love him but I would have chosen to adopt a shelter dog, but my parents bought from a breeder instead.
- So sorry about your pit bull. 75% dogs in shelters never find a home, how sad it is. It my problem, too painful to even think. I took my dog from the shelter. She was rescue from the kill shelter. I think they just find her on the street. The town where i live in we have a few shelters where they don't put them down. They have dogs that live in the shelter for 9 years. All situation about dogs and cats is very sad, drives me crazy. I don't know why people breed dogs. Well probably for money. Did you adopt another dog? Is it the one on the picture in your profile?
