My poor dragon girl had some fin damage from shipping, and now it looks like it's developing into fin rot and she also has a small hole in her fin, and her anal fin seems to be going transparent close to her body.
Do you think that treating this with 1tsp of AQ salt and some stress coat would work, or do I need something more? She is in a one gallon QT tank and I do about 50-80% water changes daily or every other day.
Edit: I'll try to get a good picture, too.

Hello! Could you please look at my thread for me? It's called "needing advice" I was trying to give you a link but it didn't let me. I was refered to you for help.

    Thank you for your time!

Well I added some filter media from my VTs tank so if it doesn't do anything after a while I will look into that. Thank you!

What do you mean by safely, lol? Like, how could adding too much be dangerous in a tank that has no fish in it..

The filter was not in the ten gallon. Everything in the ten gallon is new except the tank itself. The filters are both new. I just needed the ten gallon because I have a heater for it and had to put the temporary tanks somewhere to heat them.

I will try that. How does it work, though? I would think the bacteria would die in a bottle, lol.

Thanks :) the acrylic and glass thing actually surprises me... When there is a fish in it I will still do two water changes a week because of its size, but right now I'm mostly concerned about cycling the filter for my ten gallon which is in the four gallon currently... I didn't cycle it in the ten gallon because I am floating three one gallon tanks in my ten gallon to QT and keep them heated. Argh.

I just was not sure if it was supposed to take so long to do SOMETHING. Do the cycles usually stay at 4ppm ammonia for awhile and then start Rapidly growing nitrites or is it usually gradual?

Also, do you think acrylic tanks lose heat faster than glass ones?
