Buy a toy fish, (I used a bright orange clown fish the same size as him) Make sure it is realistic and move near the tank where he can see it. Soon he may start flaring and ta da! He is exercising! Good for when you don't have mirrors. I never tried with the fish toy in the tank but you would have to remove it or he will be stressed out.
